Forest ranger's house

From 1870 onwards, there were already several sheepfolds and wooden houses in the area, one of which was bricked up in 1895. In 1900, the new house was completed on this site, where P. van den Eijden came to live and which served as the first forester's house for the Heidemij in this area.

It was a house with a bakery and business space for tools and stables for the workhorse.

The bakehouse was spared during a fire in 1940, but the house was destroyed. Afterwards, the current white forester's house was rebuilt with its special characteristic window shutters.

The house has been inhabited by the van der Aa ranger family for decades.
