Antwerp's newest architectural gem is the Port House. This hip building with roots in the past is the new headquarters of the Antwerp Port Authority. The Port House is an innovative workplace for the more than 500 employees. You can also visit the building with a guide and enjoy the panoramic view over the harbor and the city.
Together with a striking and contemporary superstructure in the shape of a diamond - a monumental design by the renowned architectural firm Zaha Hadid Architects - the building forms the entire Port House. It is thus a metaphor for the port of the 21st century: a port with a rich past, which is ready for the future.

The Port House is one of the architectural gems of Antwerp. This trendy building with roots in the past is the new headquarters of the Antwerp Port Authority. The Port House is an innovative workplace for more than 500 employees. You can also visit the building with a guide and enjoy the panoramic view over the harbor and the city. The Port House brings together the past and future of the port of Antwerp. The lower part used to be a fire station that stood at the extreme point of the harbour. During the renovation, this beautiful barracks was preserved and this place is now referred to as the beginning of the extensive harbor area. There is no clearer symbol of the growth of the port of Antwerp. Together with a striking and contemporary superstructure in the shape of a diamond and a monumental design by the renowned architectural firm Zaha Hadid Architects, the building forms the complete Port House. It is a metaphor for the port of the 21st century: a port with a rich past that is ready for the future.
