Here you can relax and go into the water 💦 at the bathing spots and if necessary also rent a canoe 🛶. The excursion ship 🚢 makes a tour of the reservoir and back.

Great reservoir with bathing areas that is not so overcrowded. Here you can always find a place to relax and swim. Some leisure activities such as canoeing, sailing ⛵️ are also possible. There are also a few places to visit.
Unfortunately, climate change is already making itself felt here. The water level is low, which can be seen from the water marks on the dam wall.
Nevertheless highly recommended! 😃

In the area of the Hennetalsperre the Berghauser bay, in the east near Mielinghausen the "beach" and the bathing area of the Knaus Campingpark at the pre-dam basin invite you to swim. In all other places, swimming is prohibited for safety reasons. The Berghauser Bay is located opposite the dam and offers those looking for relaxation a spacious sunbathing area. The area is monitored by the DLRG.
