Going downhill, this is a shortcut back to the Danube cycle route. It starts with great views of Lower Austria, then through a wooded area (Waldstrecke) then open views. The gradient will make you go fast (60kph+) so mind the traffic and break hard and early as you approach the end as it crosses a busy road.
Going uphill, it's almost uninterrupted climbing with many bouts at 12%. You'll sweat a lot BUT there are a much fewer motorbikes than around Sofienalpe.
