The Rheydt Castle is a Renaissance moated castle on the Lower Rhine and an important monuments of Mönchengladbach in the same district.
Schloss Rheydt is not only a museum, but also a place of many different events and activities. Events such as the pottery market, the summer music, the knight festival, arts and crafts in Advent, the garden world and the autumn festival have their permanent place in the annual program. But there are also many other historically or culturally inspired events, such as regular readings, lectures and courses, castle concerts and more.

Schloss Rheydt is a Renaissance castle in Mönchengladbach. Enchantingly embedded as a moated castle in a lake
It was built in 1558 and now houses a museum, on the grounds also a café to stay and worth seeing all the beautiful peacocks.
