In 1793, at Eysymont's initiative, a larch church of St. Bartholomew was built in Żegary. The temple burned down in 1984. Members of families from nearby estates, including the Eysymonts and Paszkiewiczs, were buried in the church's basement. A new church was built on the old stone foundation on the burnt-out site. Masses are still held in Lithuanian and Polish. portretywsi.pl/zegary-wies-otoczona-jeziorami
