The festooned avenue of Bothmer Castle is one of the most well-known sights in all of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. During a walk, the interplay of baroque architecture and landscape planning can be experienced in a particularly impressive way. So you should not miss to walk through the ravine. If you then approach the palace complex, the flanking trees initially only allow a view of the magnificent central axis of the main building. With each step, the field of vision expands bit by bit. Finally arrived in the main courtyard, the splendor of the building can no longer be taken in at a glance. It is a prime example of baroque staging that is still fully effective after 300 years and makes a visit to Bothmer unforgettable at any time of the year.
