In Les Valettes starts the northwest driveway to the small, serpentine-rich Pass Col de Champex. 844 vertical meters spread over 12 kilometers, you already have a lot to pedal!

Especially recommended is the driveway on 25 August 2018. Because then the pass is blocked for the motorized traffic in the context of "Coop Ride the Alps". A great opportunity to enjoy the fantastic mountain landscape completely undisturbed and in wonderful peace.

A wonderful climb, partly through shady forest, partly over meadow slopes, steep at 12-15%. Excellent asphalt, very little traffic and just after the top of the pass, the Lac de Champex is a true natural idyll to enjoy. Also ideal for swapping a section of the busy main road in the valley between Les Valettes and Orsieres for this wonderfully quiet and beautiful little road on the way to the Great St. Bernard.
