    The summit is definitely worth it. We took us with us on the descent after the Salewa via ferrata. Very nice tightrope walk.

      If you walk along the Kühgundgrat coming from the Iseler, then the Kühgundspitze is the last mountain of the Kühgund group. It lies at an altitude of 1852m.
      From here you have a wonderful view of the Tannheim Valley.

        The Kühgundkopf (in Austrian maps: Wannenjoch) is a 1907 meter (according to Austrian measurements: 1908 m) high mountain in the Allgäu Alps. The Kühgundspitze (1852 m) is a rock head with a cross in the north-east ridge of the mountain, which descends into the Tannheimer Tal.

            The Kühgundkopf (in Austrian maps: Wannenjoch) is a 1907 meter (according to Austrian survey: 1908 m) high mountain in the Allgäu Alps. The Kühgundspitze (1852 m) is a rock head with a cross in the north-east ridge of the mountain, which goes down into the Tannheimer Tal.

            Location and surroundings
            It is a local mountain of Oberjoch and, together with the Iseler, forms the northern end of the Rauhhorn train. Lifts from both Oberjoch and Schattwald pull up against this elongated ridge, which is slightly rocky in the north. In winter there are ski areas. The peak height of the Kühgundspitze is at least 287 meters, its dominance 1.6 kilometers, whereby the Bschießer is the reference mountain.

            The Kühgundkopf is a main dolomite summit on a base made of lias fleck marl and Kössener layers (i.e. alternating fine-leaved marl with dark, dense and well-banked limes).

                              We came from the Edelrid via ferrata 🧗🏼‍♀️ and then walked along the ridge path to the summit cross ➕. A wonderful view 🔭 towards the Tannheimer Valley. From there we went down to the Wiedhag Alpe.
