Warning ⚠️ There is no roundtrip possible anymore on the Cerro Goye. When you reach the top you have to walk down again by the same trail! A local guide I met on the top confirmed. The second part is not maintained anymore so the walk is not 11,5 km but almost 15 km.
I walked on January 19th 2025.
It is pretty tough and the last part is very hard. You need a good condition!

When you reach Colonia Suiza, you really do feel as if you have been transported to Switzerland. With the difference that everything is more colourful.
Here are guest houses, restaurants, breweries, campsites. A little world of its own located on Lago Moreno. There is even a beach. The village is easily accessible by public bus and offers great hikes in the surrounding area.
