"... The Kittelbach is a tributary of the Nördliche Düssel, which branches off northwards along Heinrichstraße. Compared to the Nördliche Düssel, it has less underground piping. It runs northwest to the Mörsenbroicher Ei, past the ARAG Tower and then along the Grashofstraße. Here the creek is partially tunnelled and changes its direction to the north. After the Kittelbach has flown under the north-south railway line and a large industrial area in Düsseldorf-Derendorf, it reappears and flows through the district of Unterrath. He crosses the An der Piwipp road and continues almost straight north.In Unterrath, the stream runs northwest and crosses the Unterrather road.In the further course, the river bed was renatured in the Kittelbach Landscape Park, crosses the A44 motorway and then meanders through a parking area of the After this, the Kittelbach flows straight through again, piped underground the grounds of Düsseldorf Airport and its runways and reappears behind to flow west towards Düsseldorf-Kaiserswerth. There it crosses the Alte Landstraße and the Niederrheinstraße and flows into the Rhine south of the ruins of the Kaiserswerth imperial palace. ..."
