At the exit of the Sint Jan parking garage you walk along a boardwalk past beautiful art into the Casino Garden.
Artist Tom L'Istelle and councilor Jan Hoskam unveiled the artwork Andert unveiled on December 12, 2015 at the public entrance of the St. Jan parking garage. The bronze statue of a Neanderthal [hence the name Andert] is located at the location where finds of Neanderthals, who are said to have been here 40,000 years ago, were made.

The image from 2015 near the pedestrian bridge from the garage over the water to Hekellaan is a reference to remains of a Neanderthal camp that were found in 2013 during the construction of the parking garage. Artist Tom L'Istelle designed Andert the Neanderthal.
