Villa "Leonida Repaci", Pietrosa La Pietrosa, home of Repaci and magical place Leonida Repaci, one of the most famous and well-known Calabrian writers, when he returned to Palmi, his hometown, with his wife Albertina, moved into Villa Pietrosa: the beloved villa from whose windows you can admire the Aeolian Islands and Stromboli. Repaci wanted to donate this house to the Municipality of Palmi so that it can be valued as a real artistic treasure. Leonida Repaci was one of the leading figures in culture and politics of the 20th century. Born in Palmi, Repaci, who practiced different professions throughout his life, lawyer, writer and journalist - all with the same devotion - became a dissident reference intellectual during Fascism and a tireless critical voice in post-war Italy. He has directed several newspapers and created the Premio Letterario Viareggio (Viareggio Literary Prize); in addition, Federico Fellini has chosen him for a role in the film Premio Letterario Viareggio. Repaci wrote for the theater and was inspired by his beloved country of origin, where he often returned to pen intimate stories in familiar styles, such as the Fratelli Rupe cycle and the Racconti della mia Calabria.
