From this resting place at the edge of the forest over the roofs of Stadtlengsfeld the hiker enjoys during a break a great view of the town of Stadtlengsfeld and the underlying 714 m high Baier, a mountain of volcanic origin in the Thuringian Rhön. If you do not want to sit in the sun in the summer, there is another resting place on the forest path behind the rest area with shady giant oak trees, from which you can also enjoy the view.
