The Hans Heiling Rock (Czech: Svatošské skály) is a legendary natural monument on the Ohře River near Hory and Doubí (Aich), west of Karlovy Vary.

Between Loket (Elbogen) and Karlovy Vary, the Ohře flows through the deeply incised Hans Heiling Valley. Over the millennia, the river has uncovered several granite rock formations, mostly hidden by bushes and high forest, on its winding path. The most famous rock formation is the Hans Heiling Rock on the northern bank of the river, just before Aich. These rocks became a popular destination for guests of Karlovy Vary as early as the late 18th century. Even before 1845, an inn, now called "Restaurace Jan Svatoš," was built on the opposite bank of the river. Boat trips to the rock formation were once possible from here. Today, the two banks of the river are connected by a wooden suspension bridge, which is part of the hiking and cycling trail between Loket and Karlovy Vary.

The Hans Heiling Rock is a legendary natural monument on the Ohře River near Hory and Doubi, west of Karlovy Vary. A great hike along the Ohře.

Unfortunately, the bridge is closed.

It's about 3 km from the free parking area to the rocks.

In 2007, the rocks were declared a National Natural Monument. The protected area comprises geomorphologically unique granite rock formations, up to 50 meters high, with their characteristic cuboid shape.

The romantic valley is only accessible on foot, by bicycle, or by boat.
