The Gleisdreieck Park is now located on the former site of the Anhalter and Potsdam freight stations. After the division of Berlin, the stations were cut off from their long-distance connections. Located in the west but operated by the GDR's Reichsbahn, the railway facilities fell into disrepair. Berlin's most modern park with leisure activities and architectural traces of the past opened here between 2011 and 2013. Now only a long-distance railway line and the track of the German Museum of Technology's museum railway cross the site.

The Gleisdreieck Storywalk on the Stadt Natur Campus takes those interested on a 2.5 kilometer long walk through a history full of transformations: from the former railway site to wild nature to the creation of today's park at Gleisdreieck. In addition to stories about history, there are exciting stories about urban nature as well as interviews about industrial culture or civic engagement at the 27 listening stations. At each station, people who, among other things, helped design the park or who research the history and nature of the area have their say.
