The evangelical parish church of St. Trinitatis in Rossdorf represents an unusual type of village church, in which the bell tower is presented in front of a large nave in the north. Inside, relatively complete, valuable equipment from the late 17th century has been preserved. The present church is mainly a baroque style building, whose individual parts are dated from 1682 - 1733. Older parts from the second half of the 16th century were used in the construction. The year 1566 (and the letters IHP) are on a stone at the southwest corner. Worth seeing is the baroque pulpit, which is decorated with veil boards and tendrils, containing cartouches with quotations from the Bible and the coats of arms of the patron lords of Geyso and Wechmar.
The so-called Bavaria Monument is located in the churchyard. An obelisk surrounded by trees on a plinth with an inscribed plaque, erected in memory of the Bavarian soldiers who died in the War of 1866. This property was bought by the Free State of Bavaria.
