The Rifugio Monte Alben, in the Orobie Prealps, was inaugurated in 2022 after the renovation of the Baita Piazzoli. It is managed by the "La Cordillera" association, offers typical Bergamo cuisine and the possibility of overnight stays with 18 beds. It opens in the summer season, for more information I recommend visiting the association's website: lacordillera.org/rifugio

Missionary Refuge (run by very good volunteers) very well equipped, with comfortable and clean winter room (6 beds with blankets - sleeping bag-sheet mandatory).

Absolutely recommended (opinion limited to the spring period 17/05) From the start of the path in the woods, passing through the open clearing in the upper valley, to the path on the crests, returning with a circular tour, truly a beautiful route. Excellent stop at the Alben refuge managed magnificently by the guys from the La Cordillera Association (truly splendid and very good at welcoming)
I would recommend reaching the summit to expert hikers, more for the physical effort than the technical one, however not to be underestimated for some suggestive and quite technical passages.
Absolutely recommended as long as you are educated people and know how to respect its integrity.

A refuge with a capital R, run by the La Cordillera association. Exceptional traditional cuisine and truly fair prices, with all proceeds going to charity.
The guys who work there are always willing to lend a hand and deserve all the help they can get, even if it means buying the amazing T-shirts they sell.

A good place to stop for lunch after touring the ridges of Mount Alben.
It's also run by an association that raises funds for missions in South America, so besides having a bite to eat, you're doing a good deed.
