While the best time to visit is generally between June and the onset of winter, a winter ascent to Rinnkogel Summit would be significantly more challenging and requires advanced mountaineering skills, appropriate winter gear (such as crampons and ice axe), and a thorough understanding of avalanche conditions. It is not recommended for casual winter hiking.
