Before you go / drive to Santiago, you should definitely make another stop on the Monte do Gozo mountain. Here you have a great view and there is also a famous pilgrim monument: Saint Jacob as a pilgrim.

The Franciscan brother Peter Fobes writes in his pilgrim guide:
"Of course, the motives and experiences of the individual pilgrims are very personal and therefore differ from one another.
