The extremely cute chapel is only 400 meters from the path and is romantically hidden behind willow trees. So instead of turning right straight away, go straight ahead for 400 meters!

The chapel "Zum Heiligen Kreuz" in Bessin, a district of the municipality of Rambin on Rügen, is a Gothic eight-sided brick building. The church was donated in 1482 by Matthias Darne, a mayor of Stralsund. It stands on a sand-lime brick base and has a roof covering with monk and nun tiles, which is separated from the foundation walls by a German band.

Externally, the chapel still looks as it did when it was built. Inside there is a flat wooden ceiling decorated with medieval paintings. Several consecration crosses decorate the walls. The church furnishings include a baroque pulpit altar from 1742/43, box pews from the 18th century and a holy water font from the Middle Ages. Source: de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kapelle_Bessin
