      North of the dunes, we reach the green-marked hiking trail and follow it to the eastern tip of the Kalfamer.

      The return journey begins; we are essentially "far out" and follow the edge, but now we hike westward, against the wind.

      If you want to experience a feeling of absolute solitude, coupled with the latently helpless feeling of being exposed to the forces of nature without danger, then you have to hike across the Kalfamer or similar coastal strips in such glorious coastal weather. The harsh stormy wind drives the sand towards us in fine, white veils across the seemingly endless beach.
