The Dietzel-Geba-Stein, also Hessenstein or simply Stein 16, is a three-man stone on the Rennsteig. Stone 16 from 1734 was named after its numbering. The initials »SG« for Saxe-Gotha, »H« for Hesse and »S« for Saxony are carved on the three sides. It is a cross between hiking trails from Oberhof to Zella-Mehlis and from the Rondell (Oberhof) to the Grenzadler Oberhof.

The famous stone 16 (a landmark of 1734) marks the crossing between hiking trails from Oberhof to Zella-Mehlis and from Rondell Oberhof to Grenzadler Oberhof. There is also a refuge for a rest. Located directly on the Rennsteig.

You reach the lovingly designed "Hut am Stein 16" after approx. 1km from the roundabout in Oberhof. The large panorama window of the Waldhütte offers you an idyllic view of the beauty of the Thuringian Forest. Here you will also find stone 16, also called Dietzel Geba stone.
