Devín Castle is definitely one of the pride and symbols of Slovakia.
It is not for nothing that it is also on a 5ct coin.
The castle has one of the most moving, but also the richest histories among the castle residences in Slovakia. The presence of Celtic and later Roman ethnic groups in the territory of Slovakia is connected with the existence of the former fort. The castle witnessed the glory and fall of Great Moravia, the first state entity of Slavic ancestors in Slovakia, and was an important part of the system of border fortresses of the Kingdom of Hungary. Together with the nearby Bratislava Castle, it forms a pair of important representatives of Slovak national history.

The importance of the castle was also reflected in numerous works of art.
