At 10 hands-on stations along the approximately 2 km long circular route, he introduces the diverse animal world in the habitats of the Tretzendorfer Weiher and the nature reserve of the same name. By actively puzzling, touching, searching and listening, you can get to know the different inhabitants of the forest, meadow and water along the path. The Tretzendorfer Weiher adventure trail is a cooperation project between the Steigerwald Nature Park, the municipality of Oberaurach, the Oberschleichach Environmental Education Center and the State Association for Bird Protection.

The Aurach valley section between Unterschleichach and Tretzendorf was designated a nature reserve in 1993 with a size of 201 hectares. Because in the special habitat types that occur here, numerous animal and plant species still find an attractive home.
