Located at 1,586 meters above sea level, near a road, the refuge owes its name to an old sheepfold. At the foot of Monte Renosu, the cottage is relatively well equipped and has a bar-restaurant.

Nice campground where a bit more people find a vacancy (ski slope), beds are also available. Has hot showers and a very well-equipped shop (bread, sausage, cheese, gas cartridges, blister plaster, toilet paper, etc.). Restaurant also has good food. There are power outlets to charge your cellphone. At one point you have cell phone reception. Connection to the street if you can not anymore. There is also a lounge where everyone can cook

Was here in early October and of course everything is a bit limited. Still well equipped. Campsites are good, showers warm and the lady in the refuge friendly.

There is the Gite and the Refuge. I was told that both things do not belong together. So there are both at the bottom of the "Gite", as well as in the "Refuge" sleeps.

We stopped at this refuge for a lunch break. The shaded terrace under the sun was more than welcome. We could have spent the afternoon strolling and resting there, but we left. The place is very pretty and some beautiful hikes outside the GR20 start not far away.

The refuge is at the foot of a ski slope and can therefore also be reached by car. The prices for drinks and food are very good. Half a liter of red wine costs 4 euros, the highly recommended pizzas start at 10 euros. The camping kitchen is a bit out of the way in the old, run-down refuge. Toilets and showers are relatively new and in the refuge.
