The Château du Haut-Ribeaupierre is the ruin of a fortified castle located northwest of Ribeauvillé. It is part, with the castles of St. Ulrich and Girsberg, of the three close castles which overhang the town of Ribeauvillé.
It is not as well preserved as St. Ulrich. Its tower can no longer be climbed. However, the remains of the gates, walls and keep remain impressive.

A beautiful mystical place with the ruined castle of Château du Haut-Ribeaupierre. The ascent to the keep is somewhat hidden and slightly overgrown in places. The keep itself is no longer accessible.
From the castle ruins you have a beautiful view of the Rhine plain and the Black Forest.
