The municipality of Häggenschwil acquired the Ramschwag ruins in 2013 from the Thaler heirs for CHF 35,000. The castle was built in the 10th or 11th century and, according to Eisenring, is the most important castle in the St.Gallen / Fürstenland region. "Bodenseebiker Thurgau" is not correct in my opinion, the castle "Welsch-Ramschwag" is in Nenzing Vorarlberg.
The Alt-Ramschwag ruin is a ruined castle in the eastern part of the municipality of Häggenschwil in the area of the Swiss canton of St. Gallen (from Wikipedia).
The new staircase has recently been installed in the tower, which leads all the way up to a viewing platform. Very well done and worth it 👌 I have added new photos (most of the old ones are now history...).
