The gorge and bridge path begins and ends in the Winterberg spa park at an altitude of around 670m. The lowest point is Lake Constance at about 540m. The circular hiking trail is a little more than 4 km in total, with a difference in altitude of around 500 meters due to various counter ascents and descents.

A small gorge starts right next to the town center. The route is varied. Sometimes through the forest, sometimes over fields. There are places to rest everywhere. Unfortunately, hardly any water flowed from the Ruhr spring.

The gorge and bridge path is certainly one of the most spectacular hikes in the Sauerland. A beautifully landscaped forest path leads over bridges, through a gorge and around a small lake.

Walkin through the village of Winterberg and walking through nature. It's all in this route. Disclaimer: This route was made by someone else, when we walked this route whe decided to spice up the route by going to the ''Bodensee''. After that we went back to the original route but this was not easy. We had to walk up for a long time which was not an easy walk. I will only recommend this route for people who are good in walking and have a good fysic condition.
