    In the very lively town of Stühlingen, you can take care of yourself before starting the Schluchtensteig hike.
    There is a parking lot for Schluchtensteig hikers just a few minutes' walk from the starting point (in Hallauer Straße after the school premises).
    Local dealers react brusquely to parked Wanderer vehicles, even if there are usually no signs indicating their "claims to ownership" to the stranger.

              This information sign is the starting point of the Schluchtensteig and provides information about the 6 stages. The bus stop is right in front of it if you are traveling by public transport. Tip for the start, take the main street to the right if you look at the church and you will soon find the first directional stickers on the street lamp.
              The start stamp can be obtained from any restaurant or hotel.

                  The entrance to the gorge trail is in Stühlingen on the lower reaches of the Wutach. Upstream, the path first leads north through the deeply cut Wutachflühen to Blumberg and then follows the course of the river through the Wutach Gorge westwards to Lenzkirch.
