The Berger lake is located in Gelsenkirchen-Buer on the Adenauerallee. It was dammed in 1930 near Schloss Berge. The so-called Berger Mulde served as reservoirs. The water came from the Berger springs and the Berger brook (Lohmühlenbach). The lake is now 12 hectares and consists of 2.8 hectoliters of water. The deepest point is about 3 meters deep. Lake Berger is an attractive recreational area and is often visited by families. The meadows, the children's playground and the boat rental are the reason for the high number of visitors.
