    The "Insect Hotel" project was launched in 2016 by the Association for Nature and Bird Protection Blieshaben-Bolchen e. V. realized here on the Allenberg on the "Bebelsheimer Fußpfad".

    This "hotel" is an artificially created nesting aid for insects. It offers protection and habitat for many species, such as wild bees and bumblebees. Because of their role as pollinators, they are important for the environment, and by promoting these animal species, we are also helping the survival of the native flora.

    Natural materials such as wood (tree slices, branches), clay, bamboo and pine cones were used in the construction. In addition, wine storage stones were also built in. On the back wall there is a large information board about different species of wild bees and their way of life.
