It's actually called the Fischstein chapel. Fischstein was once a village and Eisenhammer an der Pegnitz, first mentioned in 1326 and dissolved from 1960 to 1991. The small chapel used to be the center of the entire village, but nowadays it stands completely alone. It was renovated a few years ago and is lovingly cared for by former residents of the village and often visited by them and by many walkers. Exactly when the chapel was built is unknown.
