Mercurey, like Santenay and Rully are among those wine-growing villages that offer Burgundy Pinot Noir wines of rare quality, at a very affordable price. The reason: these terroirs are rather unknown compared to the renowned villages of Burgundy, they are a bit hidden. The terroir is excellent and the wines of Mercurey offer unbeatable value for money.

The village surrounded by vineyards and forests on its pretty hillsides will delight you.

The town owes its name to a Gallo-Roman temple dedicated to Mercury.
With around 1,300 inhabitants, Mercurey has preserved a quality historical heritage. The village owes its wealth to viticulture and is still a popular stopover for oenophiles and hikers.
