Just one of many beautiful and well-kept places to rest on the "2-Bäch-Path" 👌😃 !!!
Here at the "Alte Eiche" rest area in the Alfbach valley, next to the venerable oak, there is an old, weathered cross made of stone. Too bad, the inscription on it is no longer decipherable. 🤔

"The 2-Bäche-Path is a partner path of the Eifelsteig and belongs to the group of Vulkaneifel-Paths. This feeder path to the Eifelsteig is characterized above all by its alpine landscape between Niederscheidweiler and Hasborn, as well as a constant change from up and down the valley . The plateaus are generally used for agriculture, while the steep slopes are characterized by wild forests. The 2-Bäch-Path is a 14 km long circular hike, the path of which is permanently accompanied by the brooks Alf and Sammet."
