A former fishing village, Le Lavandou now has just over 6,000 inhabitants. It is a very pleasant town by the sea, where you will find many cafes, restaurants and shops. Le Lavandou is the starting point (or arrival point) of the GR 90.

Le Lavandou is located at the foot of the Massif des Maures on the coast between Toulon and St. Tropez. The Bay of Lavandou enjoys the mild and dry climate of the Var, with almost 300 sunny days a year, and stretches for more than 12 km along the Mediterranean Sea in a green environment.

Formerly a small fishing port, Le Lavandou is today an important tourist destination with a large marina and a fishing port, which is wonderfully located in front of the Iles d'Or: the island of Levant and the island of Port Cros. With no fewer than 12 beaches and 12 fine sandy beaches, carefully cared for and supervised, Le Lavandou is one of the most famous seaside resorts of the Var.
