The abbey and gardens are National Trust paid entry but there are plenty of footpaths through the wider estate that you can explore.

A lovely place to visit, see the ruins of the old Abbey and the accompanying gardens. However, during the winter months, they do evening opening where they light up the abbey with floodlights, and there's a BBQ and various other activities. It truly is a sight to see; do take a torch as not all areas are lit.

Fountains Abbey park and gardens is a great place for a day out exploring the woodland, park, formal gardens and ruined abbey.
