In the Glashütten district educational garden, visitors can rediscover nature and landscape on around 5000 m². The district educational garden of Glashütten was the first educational garden in Upper Franconia. For garden lovers, this is a welcome piece of information for designing a garden close to nature. Many topic and information boards complete the small tour.

In 1988 the horticultural and landscaping associations in the Bayreuth district decided to create a teaching garden for the general public. Up until the inauguration in June 1993, a 5,000 square meter facility with a natural garden, a natural wall, hedges, a pond with a silting zone and a meadow with orchards was built. A cottage garden was also laid out.
