The fact that long sand was removed at this point created the Harkebrügger See. It is right by a forest. Although you cannot completely go around it by bike, there is a pedestrian path around it. With its size of 14 hectares, the lake is rather small, but a nice destination.

The Harkebrügger See is an idyllic at the edge of the forest of the village Harkebrügge located quarry pond, which was created by sand mining. Its water surface is approximately 14 ha. Currently, the area around the lake is developed. There should be recreational and recreational facilities, as well as holiday and weekend cottages. In future, there will be a public and a private bathing area. The construction work is already under way (as of 4/2018).
