Great view of the loop in the Saale. The short detour to the lower ledge is also worthwhile. From there the view is even more impressive. But you should wear sturdy shoes and not be cocky, as it goes down quite steeply at the very front.

Above the actual Petersgrat there is a plateau on which there used to be a house - supposedly even with a swimming pool. Built in the post-war period, a woman lived there initially only on weekends, later on permanently. After her death, the house was demolished in the early 1980s - against the will of the Joditz community - because no building permit could be found. Today, the floor plan can still be guessed at, but you enter the privately owned area at your own risk, which is clearly indicated by signs.

From the plateau you can - assuming sure-footedness - take a small path to the actual Petersgrat. There you have a wonderful view of the Saale, which is about 100 meters lower, and the Lamitzmühle.
