The "Devil's Table" complex is formed by the tower-like rock cliff called the Devil's Table and a nameless stone tower with a conspicuous viewing gap located about 100 m to the east.
The name of the mountain Czorneboh comes from Sorbian and means "Black God".
It is considered a legendary cult site of the Milzener, ancestors of today's Sorbs. Places such as the Devil's Window, the Devil's Pulpit, the Devil's Stones, the Devil's Foot, the Sacrificial Basin and, last but not least, the Devil's Table itself are possibly evidence of that time.
Many rocks line the mountain ridge.
The "Devil's Table" complex is easy to find. The Devil's Table rock cliff rises just 5 meters next to the parking lot of the Czornebohbergbaude. The nameless stone tower with the viewing gap is located just 100 meters to the east on the other side of the mountain lodge. Because of the striking appearance of these two rock objects in particular, they also serve as a motif on postcards.
The rock called the Devil's Table stands alone and forms two striking viewing points below it. A vertical crack in a north-south direction and a viewing window in an east-west direction. The sun appears in the crack around midday at the winter solstice. In the viewing window at the beginning of spring/autumn in the morning.
A stone with an egg-cup-shaped depression is thought to function as a light marker for the winter solstice.
