The parking lot at the model airfield (Apelter Weg 110, 40667 Meerbusch) is a popular starting point for a hike on the Rhine from Meerbusch-Büderich. In northern direction you can reach the Ilvericher Altrheinschlinge or Strümp. In a southerly direction you can walk over Mönchenwerth to the Theodor-Heuss-Brücke and direction Düsseldorf Oberkassel.
By the way, in good weather at the weekend you can drink a delicious cappuccino or a freshly squeezed orange juice in the vicinity of the parking lot at the "Coffee-Bike".

The coffee lady with her mobile coffee station is often at the parking lot. There are all kinds of coffee and a damn delicious cocoa! Everything still made by hand, highly recommended!
