The Coudray-Montceaux lock offers lovely views over the Seine valley and the banks of the river at the level of Plessis-Chênet in Évry. It also takes a look at the city's industrial past. We see boats passing by and water flowing.
The lock that you see dates from 2013 but it succeeds other constructions dating from the 19th century. They all had the same goal: to control the water level of the Seine to promote the circulation of boats.
