The village square in Haberschlacht is a central location in the village and is home to several interesting sights. One of the main attractions is the old wine press, a large classicist building that was built in 1837/38. Originally it served not only as a wine press, but also as a school and town hall, as well as living space for the schoolmaster and his assistants.

There is a very large building on the village square of Haberschlacht - the old wine press. It was erected in 1837/38 as a classical building. In addition to the wine press, the school and town hall as well as the apartments of the schoolmaster and the teaching assistants were housed inside. Today the wine press is a modern town house with a local administration office.

In front of the wine press is the village square with a coat of arms fountain from 1988 and the "man in the barrel". This "man in the barrel" dates from 1997 by Hermann Koziol. The sculpture is reminiscent of Haberschlacht's wine-growing tradition. Matching the “man in the barrel” there are wines of the same name from the Stromberg-Zabergäu wine cooperative.
