Since its opening by Queen Beatrix in 2006, Theater de Spiegel has been Zwolle's grand and magnificent theater, the perfect place to enjoy an evening of pure enjoyment.
Theater de Spiegel is a modern and luxurious theater with the allure of traditional theaters. It is the only theater in the Netherlands with a movable ceiling. The auditorium and two balconies can accommodate 850 people, but with the ceiling at its highest position, this can be expanded with a third balcony to accommodate up to 1,000 people. Thanks to the movable ceiling, Theater de Spiegel transforms from a lavish concert hall into an intimate stage setting in the blink of an eye. Moreover, the horseshoe shape of the auditorium allows the audience to have excellent contact with the stage from every angle.
