Great boundary line and trail. Countless well-preserved landmarks and super nice to walk. Belongs to the Schaidter Westwallweg.

These are boundary stones that were set from the 15th to the 18th century to separate the monastery district from the area of the Bishopric of Speyer.

In the 7th century, the Mundat border ran here.
BUT: The boundary stones were only set between the 15th and 18th centuries: for the Diocese of Speyer (front of the boundary stones with a cross) and for the monastery of St. Peter Weißenburg (back of the boundary stones with the key of St. Peter). From this point on, there are numerous other boundary stones that show a changing numbering on the side (if not weathered). Hence the name Mundatpfad.
Today, the border between the district of Germersheim (east) and the district of Südliche Weinstraße (west) runs here.
