This fortified plaza has a rectangular floor plan and is surrounded by buildings of two, three or four floors on standing wooden feet or stone columns. It forms a supported enclosure of great character despite the reconstruction of some buildings, which with some exceptions have preserved the original layout.

The Plaza Mayor of La Alberca is incredibly beautiful in each of its corners. It is located right in the center of the town, dominated by an 18th century transept and surrounded by arcades with very beautiful facades and balconies full of flowers.
