From 1965 onwards, various drillings were carried out in the area south of Neualbenreuth to extract carbonated medicinal waters. You also come across water with a high radon content, which is used for later spa operations. After a first failed attempt in 1972, the Sybillenbad association was founded in 1985 to run the spa.

The Sibyllenquelle naturally regulates circulation, balances blood pressure, promotes blood flow, and counteracts physical and mental stress.
The Sibyllenquelle is available both in the individual tub (100% carbonated mineral healing water) and, at a concentration of 30-70%, is added to the healing water bathing area.
The healing water is fed from here to the Sibyllenbad.
