The grave chapel on the Württemberg in the Stuttgart district of Rotenberg is a mausoleum on the summit of the Rotenberg, which was only renamed Württemberg in 1907. King Wilhelm I of Württemberg (1781-1864) had it built after the death of his second wife Catherine Pavlovna (1788-1819). He himself and their daughter Marie Friederike Charlotte von Württemberg (1816-1887) are also buried there. The mausoleum can also be visited inside. Here, however, the opening times must be observed. These can be found at grabkapelle-rotenberg.de

Perched majestically on the mountain. unfortunately still closed when we visited. The chapel offers wonderful views of Stuttgart and the surrounding vineyards.
