Wanderheim Kreuzmoos was originally built over 50 years ago by the local group of the Schwarzwaldverein Ettenheim-Herbolzheim, serving as a clubhouse and hiking accommodation. Since January 2024, it has transitioned to being managed as a privately run mountain guesthouse by Maria and Roland Göppert, who continue its tradition of hospitality.
